UChicago Growth Equity is a student organization dedicated to educating students about growth-stage investing. We focus on the intersection of private equity and venture capital, where companies demonstrate strong revenue growth and are preparing for strategic expansion. Through hands-on workshops and industry engagement, we provide students with practical experience in deal sourcing, valuation analysis, market assessment, and investment frameworks.
Intro to valuation, growth-stage modeling, market sizing, deal sourcing.
Guidance on networking, recruiting timelines, and internship paths in growth equity, VC, and PE.
Conversations with analysts, associates, and partners at leading growth firms.
Challenge based, collaborative events with real investment scenarios.
Growth equity sits between private equity and venture capital. It focuses on investing in proven, revenue-generating companies that need capital to scale. It blends the rigor of PE with the innovation of VC. We teach students the specific technicals, frameworks, and thinking used by leading firms in this space.
